Product information

Plagron Royalmix is a mix of the finest, carefully selected types of peat. It contains various types of fibre and perlite which results in a lightness and oxygen level you have come to expect only of Plagron quality substrates. The abundant presence of unique Plagron worm castings ensures vigorous plant growth and increased water retention. Royalmix contains a carefully selected combination of organic fertilisers which meet all the plant’s nutritional requirements. These Plagron fertilisers are unique because they are only released exactly when the plant needs them (time-released). Royalmix is Plagron’s premium product. Royalmix produces the highest yields when used with Plagron Alga Grow, Alga Bloom and the additives from Plagron.

When you need to start giving nutrients depends on conditions such as the amount of light per square meter, the type of plant and other factors. It takes about two weeks for organic nutrients to become available to the plant. If you start fertilising from the fourth week, the nutrients will be available in week six, right at the point were the pre-fertilisation of the Royalmix runs out. Check the grow schedule to find out if you need Alga Grow or Alga Bloom and in what dosage.

No, combined with our 100% NATURAL Grow Style you don't have to regulate the pH and EC values of nutrient solutions.

Our Royalmix is maximally fertilised. For young plants that are not yet accustomed to high EC-values, it may be difficult when they are suddenly planted into a maximum fertilised soil. Therefore we recommend to flush the Batmix before putting the plant into the Royalmix. This is done by filling the pot (eg 10 liters) with Royalmix and  rinsing it with 5 to 10 liters of water. After this, the plant can be planted directly. The fertilisers that are absorbed directly will be flushed out with the water. Within the following days, the EC value in Royalmix will rise again and gradually the non absorbable fertilisers will be released.

Yes, you can use Supermix to upgrade your peat substrates. Unused, these substrates are prefertilised. This means you don't need to use Supermix for your first grow on any of these substrates.

Royalmix

Product video

Royalmix contains sufficient organic nutrients for the first six weeks of your cultivation. Because Royalmix is richly fertilised, it is not suitable for very young plants. Wait one to two weeks before you put your plant in Royalmix, or flush the Royalmix before use. After this, you can start growing immediately without having to worry about whether your plant is getting enough of the right nutrients. We advise to start fertilising from week 4, because it takes about two weeks for organic nutrients to be absorbed by the plant.

Royalmix consists of carefully selected peat varieties and a high percentage of perlite, which results in a high oxygen level and high airiness. The roots therefore get more space to develop and grow better. This means that your plant can absorb the organic nutrients easily, which creates a great base for a healthy, stable growth. In addition, the presence of perlite reduces the risk of over-watering due to good drainage.

Royalmix is organic and certified by Control Union. This means that this substrate is suitable for organic cultivation and is good for people, animals and the environment. Royalmix contains a rich soil life because of the added worm humus, and organic fertilisers which support this soil life. This means your plant grows and flowers in a natural way. This benefits the taste of the final product.
